Have you all seen these goat edition of popular songs making the rounds on social media? They're so ridiculous that they're funny! I think my favorite is the Taylor Swift "Trouble".... But really whoever did all these has way to much time available to even think of this!

Wednesday Words
So sometimes I get these ideas for blog posts that I think are just absolutely brilliant and amazing but in reality they really probably aren't, I'm realistic I know this. I'm not even sure anyone reads my blogs, I am more then likely just rambling on and on to myself, but I'm okay with that.... I think!
Anyways my latest "brilliant" idea is Wednesday Words, a weekly blog posts about song lyrics. I think song lyrics can be so powerful and sometimes they can change someone's life or out look on things! Often the lyrics to one specific song are the reason I will fall in love with a certain artists music and make me take a second look at them when I haven't really ever paid any attention before.
My all time favorite song lyrics (I highlighted my favorite parts) are from the song "Iris" from the Goo Goo Dolls, I think this song is beautiful!
And I don't want the world to see me
'Cause I don't think that they'd understand
When everything's made to be broken
I just want you to know who I am
And I don't want the world to see me
'Cause I don't think that they'd understand
When everything's made to be broken
I just want you to know who I am
And I don't want the world to see me
'Cause I don't think that they'd understand
When everything's made to be broken
I just want you to know who I am
I just want you to know who I am
I just want you to know who I am
I just want you to know who I am"

"And I'd give up forever to touch you
'Cause I know that you feel me somehow
You're the closest to heaven that I'll ever be
And I don't want to go home right now
And all I can taste is this moment
And all I can breathe is your life
and sooner or later it's over
I just don't want to miss you tonight
And I don't want the world to see me
'Cause I don't think that they'd understand
When everything's made to be broken
I just want you to know who I am
And you can't fight the tears that ain't coming
Or the moment of truth in your lies
When everything feels like the movies
Yeah, you bleed just to know you're alive
'Cause I know that you feel me somehow
You're the closest to heaven that I'll ever be
And I don't want to go home right now
And all I can taste is this moment
And all I can breathe is your life

I can't really put into words why I love these lyrics so much. Each line really has so much meaning behind them and can be interpreted in so many ways! But I think it is a beautiful song and has been one of my all time favorite song for years and years.
Random Fact: The song was written specifically for the movie City of Angels, in which Nichols Cage plays an angel who falls in love with a mortal played by Meg Ryan and he gave up everything to be human so he could be with her.

New Music Monday: Ben Rector
Ben Rector isn't exactly a new artist but I only recently discovered him, I had heard "When A Heart Breaks" before but had never paid much attention to (now its one of my absolute favorite songs!).
A while back I was watching "Make it or Break it" (Don't Judge me!!) and on one of the episodes there was a song that had a line that stuck out to me, "I've got scars to prove that I don't need you, but my heart knows that I always do." the song, titled "You and Me", had also previously been on One Tree Hill (how I missed that since I watched that show religiously is beyond me). But I absolutely love that line! I had to look up the song immediately which led to about an hour of looking up his other songs. I haven't found anything by him that I don't absolutely love. I love his voice and his lyrics to his songs are just amazing and so sweet and different from other things you hear on the radio these days.
So who is Ben Rector, well I did a little digging and here are 5 things you should know about him!

So who is Ben Rector, well I did a little digging and here are 5 things you should know about him!
1. During his freshman year at the of college
he released a self-titled EP that featured the song “Conversation”,
which went on to win the Grand Prize in the pop category of the John Lennon Songwriting Contest in 2006.(He is the youngest person to ever win this award in the pop category!)
2. He has released 4 albums, 2 EPs, and 1 single
3. In 2010 He was #11 on Billboards Heatseeker chart.
4. Took Piano as a small child but didn't seriously get into music until high school when he picked up the guitar and began writing
5.Moved to Nashville in 2009 and recorded a Chirstmas EP, with classic songs on which he arranged all the music and played all the instruments recorded on each track!
It is really hard for me to pick one favorite song by him, so I will post my top 3. Check them out and make sure to follow Ben on Twitter, Facebook and Youtube!

New Music Monday
Has it really been since October since I last posted? Sorry guys, this new year I vow to be better! I know I always say that but I promise to be better, I already have lots of fun interviews set up so be watching out for those!
I am also going to start having guest bloggers where I let some music enthusiasts take over for the day and go to town telling you all about their favorite artist(s)!
So on to new music Monday. Anyone remember British pop group BBMak? Well They were one of my favorites back in the day. One thing I liked about them is they weren't the typical pop boy band, Ste and Christian played their own instruments rather then dancing for one.
Recently I found out via twitter that Ste McNally is a new band called 10 Reasons to Live, of course I had to look them up right away. I actually really love them! Their song Falling Apart is great and definitely worth listening to. On repeat!
Catch Me If You Can is pretty great too!
10 Reasons to Live consists of
Ste Mcnally (Singer and sometimes guitar player), John Owens (Bass), Paul Garrett (Rhythm Guitar), Stevie B (lead guitar) & Craig Smith (Drums).
I honestly couldn't find a whole lot of info on these guys but I will keep searching and fill in all the blanks later!
In the mean time, watch their music videos, Follow them on Twitter and like them on Facebook!

We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together
I love, L-O-V-E, We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together by Taylor Swift.
And I'm also loving all the covers that are popping up of it! It's always interesting to see everyone's different takes and spins on it!
Each one is so unique in every way!
My all time favorite cover is by country duo Kingston
Arabella Jones
Megan Nicole
Maddie Wilson
Ryan River Sessions with Debby Ryan
(I absolutely love this one)
And I was only going to do 5 but I couldn't leave these next 2 out
Alexa Goddard
Chester See and Taryn Southern
Kingston
If you haven't heard of the country duo Kingston, you need to head over to YouTube right now and check them out! They are one of my favorites right now (and probably will be forever)! Not only do they seem like two of the nicest, most down to earth guys from watching them interact with their fans on twitter, they both have amazing voices and when they harmonize its well.... Perfect!
What I love most about these two is that they can take any pop/rock/indie song, give it their own spin and make it sound like the song was meant to be country in the first place!
(Check out their cover of "What Makes You Beautiful" by One Direction below, its one of my personal favorites)
But they do more then just covers, the have original music too!
I absolutely love Dear Someone! (watch it below)
I honestly spends hours listening/watching their covers on YouTube!
So who exactly is Kingston?
Zach and Josh Carter grew up in Hudson, Ohio. Since their mom worked in country radio, music was a big influence in their life from the start. After high school they moved to and originally recorded under the name the Carter Twins. In 2011 they changed their name to Kingston
Last year they auditioned for X Factor and made it into the top 64.
Since then they have been busy making music, recording fun covers for their fans on YouTube. They both have such fun personalities they definitely comes across in their music. I adore them. Really. And I honestly can't wait to see what they have coming up next, I guarantee that Kingston is a name you won't want to forget!
