Hunter Hayes Makes Me Smile

Every time I hear "Storm Warning" by Hunter Hayes playing on the radio I seriously can't stop smiling. I love this song. And Hunter deserves every bit of success he's getting. And it's only just begin for this boy of many talents. I couldn't wish this kind of success for a nicer person. I met Hunter back in June when he was on his radio tour. He is one of the most talented, kind, and humble people that I have ever met! I could watch/listen to him sing all day. He's got such a unique voice and you can't help but put his music on repeat!

Plus he's so adorable, right? Even Lauren Alaina from American Idol Thinks so. You can tell from watching him when he sings that music really is his passion!

Backstage at Flatts Fest!

Yup I totally won backstage passes to meet RASCAL FLATTS! How cool is that? Seriously?! It was a text in contest from Z104 (formerly the Cowboy). I sat there texting them over and over trying to win the pass! They announced that they had text the winner so I checked my phone and nothing. We waited a few a minutes to see if I'd get one but didn't so decided to just go into the concert. As we were walking they announced again for people to check there phone to see if they'd won. I said to my friend "I just want them to text me and tell me I've won." As soon as I finished saying that my phone went off and I received the following text "You are the winner come by the z104 tent and show this text" I FREAKED! (for those of you who know me, know that Im a fairly calm person, so the scream and the squealing was not something normal. Im sure I freaked out everyone around me) So Jackie and I booked it back to the radio stations tent and showed them the text (where the DJ said to me "I should have known that was your number!" Ha ok so I win alot of concert tickets, but never beackstage passes) I was lucky enough to win TWO passes so my friend could come with me!

Weren't allowed to take our own pictures or get autographs but they had someone there taking pictures for us and they were uploaded that night so we could get it. It turned out pretty great! The guys were way sweet! It was so exciting to get to meet them! And the concert was a blast! I'll write about that later!

Sheri Miller Update!

So back in May I did an interview with Sheri Miller. She's amazing. Go read the interview! Such a fun and genuine person! If you havent heard her music you must. in fact its more than a must! You NEED to! You will thank me later for telling you about this beautiful music! Promise!

So since my interview with Sheri, she has since released her album 'Winning Hands' and it has gotten great reviews!  Which makes me SO happy for her! She deserves the success! Sometimes it seems the people with the most talent take the longest to be discovered! She is one of these people. She isn't one of those artist who will come and go. She makes music that is timeless and will be around for a long time. You will see big things from Sheri Miller. You can count on it!

Obsessed

So there a few new songs that Im kinda obsessed with (I know, I know Im obsessed with music in general, but really I L-O-V-E these songs)

1. Barefoot Blue Jean Night - Jake Owen. I've never been a huge Jake Owen fan, but now I am. This is the PERFECT summer song! SO good! I can't listen to it enough! I've had it playing on YouTube all morning at work!

2. Honey Bee- Blake Shelton. Again not normally a huge fan. But I love this song. Its so cute and sweet! Its the perfect country love song!

3. I Do-  Colbie Caillat- I love Colbie Caillat, she has such a gorgeous, unique voice and this is such a fun catchy song.

Follow Friday: Chris Townsend

Chris Townsend is a talented up and coming singer/songwriter.  Ive "known" Chris for about 2 years now. And I say it like that because I have never actually met him.... He friend requested me on facebook and I had no idea who he was at the time! I thought maybe he was a friends brother (because they had the same last name) But then I realized that Chris was from London.... To this day Im not sure why he friend requested me, but Im glad he did (I obviously accepted his friend request).

Chris is such a talented guy and so nice too! So you should all follow him on twitter and facebook! O and here is the link to his youtube page too! I love his cover of John Mayer's Heart Breat Warfare and my favorite original by him is Come and Go. So head over to youtube and look those up!


I can't wait until Chris gets over here to the US to tour! I could on for a while about him and his music, but Im going to wait on that because Im hoping to do and interview with him! Music for Monday

Have you heard this song yet? Im kinda In love with it! Charles Kelly and Dave Haywood from Lady A wrote it with Parachute and it is SO amazing! If you are a fan of  either band you must check it out!
